Acceptable Use Policy

Best Disc is a directory for Discord communities, bots, and tools. To keep it useful and safe, all listings and accounts must follow this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Violations may result in listing removal, account suspension, or termination without refund.

Prohibited content

Illegal content. Anything that violates applicable law, including but not limited to controlled-substance trafficking, human exploitation, fraud, or unauthorized access to computer systems.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Zero tolerance. Reports forwarded to NCMEC and law enforcement.
Non-consensual intimate imagery or content that exposes private individuals without consent (doxxing).
Hate speech, incitement, or harassment targeted at protected classes.
Violent extremism or content praising terrorist organizations.
Malware, phishing, or credential-stealing tools, including listings that bundle such payloads in bot/server invites.
NSFW content outside its slot. Adult communities must be tagged nsfw and meet our age-gating rules. NSFW content is excluded from sitemaps and never appears in featured placements.
Pirated content or counterfeit goods.

Prohibited conduct

Manipulating votes, reviews, rankings, or auction prices through bots, paid voting rings, sockpuppets, or browser automation.
Submitting listings you do not own and have not been authorized to submit. Ownership is verified via the Discord bot.
Using the Service to scrape data at a rate that interferes with operation, or to scrape personal data of users.
Attempting to bypass moderation, age-gating, rate limits, or paywalls.
Targeted harassment of users, moderators, or staff.
Reselling premium placement or auction wins without our written permission.

Listing requirements

Listings must accurately describe the server or bot. No bait-and-switch.
Server invites must be valid and not expire on a short window designed to evade moderation.
Bots must have a publicly documented privacy policy and clearly disclose the scope of permissions they request.
Premium and auction features cannot be used to promote content that violates this AUP.

Enforcement

We may take any of the following actions:

Soft-remove a listing pending appeal.
Permanently remove a listing.
Suspend an account.
Terminate an account, with or without refund.
Refer matters to Discord Trust & Safety or law enforcement when the law requires it.

Decisions can be appealed by emailing appeals@bestdisc.org within 14 days.

Reporting

To report content that violates this AUP, use the "Report" button on any listing or email abuse@bestdisc.org. Reports of CSAM should be sent to csam@bestdisc.org with the subject line "URGENT".
